What’s this all about?
Who am I?
I am a Rotaractor and have been for 6 years now. I started as the Charter Vice President of my first club, with a focus on engaging my members through hands-on projects. Over the course of my journey, I have had the chance to engage with Rotaract and Rotary at multiple levels, now finding myself predominantly working at a district and national level. As a result, my focus has begun to change towards governance.
I have always been interested in looking at how we do what we do and whether there were newer or better ways of doing. I’ve had the chance to experiment with how projects are run and how a traditional Rotaract club is managed. Now, I’m looking at what kinds of clubs we can have, what does it mean to be a member and how do we engage people more broadly into Rotary.
What’s going to happen here?
I would like to be able to post on this blog as thoughts come to me and I’ll try to categorise my posts based on length, with an aim for one longer length post delving deeper into a topic once a month.
In addition, since most of these posts will be text-based, I’ll be sharing photos through my Instagram. Everything I post will also be shared through my Facebook page.
In exchange, I’d love for you to post comments or questions about the topics discussed on whatever platform works for you.
